| rob berger dnc vine cdrs > ultraplex > eac > wav > shn;, this is an upgraded version of the kaslow and todd aud source of 8/6 and more of the 8/5 set that previously circulated. several months ago i borrowed buddy (and spiritual advisor) jerry moore's 1st gen 10.5" reel of these two riders sets with the best intentions of transferring them. after 4 seconds of playback it was clear to me that this one was in need of a good baking. i sent the reel off to my brother from another mother john jay hance (pcrp)and asked him to work his magic. well, it's true folks. jj is a master baker of the highest magnitude. he shaked, he baked, and transfered the reel for us and the results are remarkable. the previously circulating copy is one ofthe finest aud's of the period in my opinion, but i believe this to be a noteworthy upgrade. neither source has a complete 8/5 set but thankfully they compliment each other giving us about two thirds of the show. i believe there is still about a half hour missing from it's start, aud reel master (sony ecm 22p's>sony tc-770 7" open reel, no nr)>10.5" 1/4 track reel @ 3.75 ips, no nr>cdr, except where noted* = same source master>reel>reel, my sincere thanks extended to jerry (garcia), jerry (moore), jj hance, johnny jht rider and especially mr.'s kaslow and todd for such a fine recording.; CD1 44:05, Six Days On The Road, Watcha Gonna Do?, I Don't Know You, Down In The Boondocks, Portland Woman, Dirty Business, Henry, Sailin', CD2 52:20, Glendale Train, Working Man's Blues, Julie, Only Daddy That'll Walk The Line, Fair Chance To Know, The Weight, Louisiana Lady, Sweet Lovin' One, Honkey Tonk Women | | B | on Six Days On The Road, this has same wav and spectral view and levels as 85016; this has more digital flaws | | *** |
